WINTER BUCKET LIST
Seasons are changing and the leaves on trees have fallen, we are now back to that time when we are layering our clothes to protect ourselves from the harsh winds.
But this isn’t just the time when the weather is nippy, it’s also the time of year when people are slowly looking towards the big guy in red.
Like all years I bet you’re counting the days until The Day Of Giving so until that fateful day here is a list of things you can do to enjoy yourself this cold winter.
This may not come as a shock to you but here in England (Brighton) there is a lack of snow, so I won’t mention snowball fights and snowman building but don’t worry, here are some substitutes.
How about instead of snowball fights, pillow fights!
You may not get to pummel your friends with snow but it's still just as fun pummelling them with a pillow; just be careful not to break anything whilst you're fighting for your life!
Another thing that is enjoyable is having a delicious hot chocolate with fresh whipped cream and marshmallows on top to warm yourself up.
Have you ever thought about making a snowman out of marshmallows?
You just need some marshmallows, toothpicks or pretzel sticks and icing for the face but there are other ways to make edible snowman, this is just one of them.
If you want to go outside this winter, then let me recommend going ice skating.
This is a classic winter activity and is a must!
Going ice skating is an amazing way to make fond memories and even if you’re no good at skating it’s an easy thing to get the hang of.
There are plenty of beginner ice skating tutorials on the internet and a good place to start your ice-skating adventure is at the Brighton Pavilion ice rink especially that at this time of year the Pavilion is decked out in wonderful sparkly lights.
It’s so delightful to skate whilst bathed in lights and there is a separate section for ice skaters who aren’t that confident on the ice.
Also have you ever thought of escape rooms, such as the ones organized by Pier pressure, where you and your friends go to solve mysteries.
The Christmas special this year is a hunt at Preston Manor to find the mince pies that were stolen by a greedy elf.
Can you solve this Christmas dilemma?
Finishing off this bucket list with a good old trip to the cinema. This coming winter we have a variety of well anticipated movies to look forward to such as everyone’s favourite bear Paddington 3, the return of Moana 2, long awaited Wicked and the Rocks latest movie –Red One!
Whatever you have on your winter bucket list, just enjoy yourself at this festive time and try out new experiences.
