Thrill of freefall
skydive in the O2 today Situated in Greenwich peninsula, London O2, your opportunity to skydive has never been closer.
Primarily used for live music the O2 now offers you the chance to emulate the feeling of flying while never being more than a few feet from the ground.
The indoor skydiving location, IFLY, first opened in 1998, uses advanced vertical wind tunnels with wind flow strong enough to keep you and your 1-1 personal instructor afloat.
Catering to ages 3 years and up this experience is definitely one to consider for an upcoming birthday, celebration, or lone adrenalin junkie.
What to expect: You will be expected to arrive 15-45 minutes before your scheduled flight time in appropriate footwear, preferably lace up trainers and a hairstyle suitable for a helmet.
You must sign a waiver to ensure you’re fit to fly and free of injury.
In my experience this was a quick, simple process even with a group of 6+ people. You will then get geared up when your slot has arrived in a jumpsuit, helmet, earplugs and goggles.
If you are flying with friends or family, you will not be separated until it’s time for you to enter the flight chamber.
As a whole this event was stress-free as you are debriefed before and assisted throughout.
Flying lasts around 55 seconds per round but personally I found this plenty.
Described as being “the right balance of excitement and security.” by previous visitors, this outing did not disappoint and I would recommend thoroughly for any thrill seeker.
Whether you’re an avid skydiving enthusiast or a newcomer with apprehension, your needs will be met, making your next visit to the heart of London one to remember
Are you ready to take the leap?
Don’t keep your jumpsuit waiting, break out of your comfort zone and promise yourself and unforgettable day, fulfil your dream without compromise.
