HAVE YOU GONE TO YOUR LOCAL PARKRUN?

All over the UK you can find park runs in your local community.

In Brighton it’s held in Preston Park every Saturday morning for adults and Sunday morning for Juniors.

This is a safe and comfortable environment for people thinking of doing some exercise at the weekend and is for all groups of people from super athletic runners to newbies, anyone is welcome!

With a set course to run, people go for many reasons: exercise, meet people, a challenge or just for fun. Whatever the reason, if you like running parkrun is just the place for you.

Many people go to parkrun, and it is an enjoyable experience where you can run with people in your area instead of by yourself.

Another great part about parkrun is that it is a safe space with people around to make sure everyone is having a joyful time.

Parkrun has volunteers that help out, also taking care of students doing their Duke of Edinburgh volunteering and is a good option for students puzzled on where to go for volunteering.

For those of you wanting to challenge yourself or have a goal, like for example increasing your stamina, parkrun also has timekeepers that take your time.

You can see your personal record by downloading the parkrun app and if you're wondering how well you did compared to other people you can check your placement on their website.

With all these perks parkrun is here for you to run.

“Why run alone?”

Isn’t it much more entertaining to run in a group plus it’s a great motivation to drag yourself out of bed and get out there and run.

Why not try heading down to your local parkrun and having a go and who knows maybe you might enjoy it?
