John Maggs has taken over as manager at Crawley Down.
Former Crawley and Horsham boss Maggs has replaced Darren Guirey, who has decided to take a year out of football due to business commitments.
Maggs had worked as assistant to Guirey this season and together they led the Anvils to the Sussex Senior Cup final as well as Ryman division one south safety.
Chairman Brian Suckling said: “Darren is taking a year out due to business reasons but we are looking forward to the time he is able to come back and be involved with us again.
“Darren is a superb manager. He has brought the club untold success in the three years he has been with us. This is not goodbye but farewell for now.
“We are in a very fortunate position to have John Maggs. He is universally accepted as a great manager and we are privileged to have him with us.”
