Calum Willock got a much-needed chance to impress as Crawley made three changes for today's Blue Square premier trip to Grays Athletic.

Willock's contract expires in mid-January and boss Steve Evans has challenged him to prove he deserves a new deal by producing the goods on the pitch.

Willock partnered Charles Ademeno up front with Lewis Killeen dropping to the bench. Midfielder Thomas Pinault was also named among the subs with Eddie Hutchinson returning in central midfield.

The other alternation saw Karl Broadhurst return to central defence in place of Glenn Wilson, who was at rightback because Simon Rusk picked up an ankle injury in the 2-2 draw against Eastbourne Borough on Boxing Day.

Grays, with just one win in their last 13 games, included ex-Red Ronnie Bull on the bench. They made one change to the side beaten 2-1 at Ebbsfleet on Boxing Day with Fola Onibuje coming into midfield in place of Ryan James, who was joined on the bench by former Crawley defender Ronnie Bull.

Grays: Edwards, Obaze, Logombe, Hoyte, Bunce, Graham, Davis, Hickie, Dean, Reid, Onibuje. Subs: Vernazza, Crowther, Cissoko, James, Bull.

Crawley: Rayner, Wilson, Quinn, Broadhurst, Rents, Malcolm, Hutchinson, Smith, Cogan, Willock, Ademeno. Subs: Pinault, Napper, Carter, Killeen, Jordan.
