Eastbourne Borough boss Garry Wilson was the happier manager after the Blue Square premier derby against Crawley ended in a 2-2 draw.

The home side twice led through Charlie Ademeno's close range shot after seven minutes and Glenn Wilson's 21st minute header.

But Liam Enver-Marun levelled on 18 and the striker set up Jamie Taylor for a close range goal on 47 minutes which tied it up at 2-2.

It was Borough's sixth draw in their last seven games and Wilson felt his side deserved a point after they had turned round fortunate to be only 2-1 down.

Wilson said: "We fortunate to be only 2-1 down at half-time and Crawley were probably at fault for not putting us away in the first half.

"But we got off to a great start the second half with the goal. We squeezed them higher up the pitch and our ball retention was a lot better.

"I felt we were the better side in the second half, as the game wore on a betting man would have said we looked likely to nick it, they seemed to back right off us."

Crawley boss Steve Evans admits his side paid for their inability to finish Borough off in the first half.

He said: "The game should have been done and dusted at half-time. We tore them apart at times, they had one shot on target and we could have been six or seven up.

"That game sums our season up. We gave a sloppy goal away at the start of the second half and weren't at the races."
