Simon Weatherstone will make his competitive debut for Eastbourne Borough against Rushden and Diamonds today.
The summer signing from Crawley missed the opening two games with a hamstring injury but has been passed fit to replace Dan Smith on the right-hand side of midfield.
Smith drops to the bench in the only change from Tuesday night's 1-0 win over AFC Wimbledon with Simon Johnson left out of the squad.
Rushden make two changes to the side which drew 0-0 against York City on Tuesday.
Lee Tomlin, who caused Borough problems in both games last year, drops to the bench and is replaced by James Reid on the left-wing while Simon Downer returns to the heart of defence following suspension with Kurt Robinson injured.
