Glynde are heading to the Lord’s.
The Sussex League division two side have reached the final of the npower National Village Cup after an emphatic semi-final win at home to Welsh side Cresselly.
Watched by a crowd of more than 1,000, Glynde posted a challenging 240-7 from their 40 overs with opener Joe Adams (64) top-scoring.
Cresselly were always in trouble in reply, slumping to 93-6 after 25 overs and 122 all out due to a combination of good bowling and some excellent catches.
Glynde are now through to the final which will be played at Lord’s on Monday September 14.
