DANNY BLOOR insists Worthing should have no fears about travelling to Cray Wanderers in the Ryman division one south play-off semi-final tomorrow night.

The Rebels finished their league campaign with a 3-0 win away to Corinthian-Casuals thanks to two goals from the excellent Ross Treleavan and one from the returning Andy Alexander.

However, they finish in the final play-off position as each of their promotion rivals won which means Worthing will be away in the one-legged semi-final and away in the final should they progress.

Joint boss Bloor is happy to be facing second-placed Cray Wanderers.

He said: “We beat them 4-1 at home and lost 2-1 away in one of our worst performances of the season. It is a game we are certainly capable of winning.”

Alexander was one of three players who returned from injury in Saturday’s game. Ben Andrews and Glen Woodburn are also back and in contention for the play-offs while Scott Kirkwood returns from a four-game suspension tomorrow night.

Cray warmed up for that play-offs with a 3-0 win over Eastbourne Town.

Town boss Ady Colwell was sent from the dugout for an uncharacteristic outburst following an aerial challenge which left Adam Davidson with a head wound.

Colwell said: “Their player led with an elbow. I am not saying it was malicious but it was reckless.

“When there is my player laying with blood pouring from his head, I think I entitled to expect the referee to act but he didn’t even reprimand the player.”

Colwell did not want his dismissal to detract from a good season which has seen Town reach mid-table.

Town finished with four under-18s on the field, Liam McCann being the pick of the bunch at full-back.
