Eastbourne-based racing driver Kelvin Hassell has made the successful transition to the new European Late Model Series.
At the opening round of the series at at Warneton International Speedway in Belgium Hassell secured enough points to put him in the top ten of the international drivers’ standings.
The European Late Model Series is open to all American stock car models, including the CAMSO V8 that Hassell used to compete in the CAMSO V8 Championship from 2006 to 2008.
Hassell said: “The European Late Model Series combines everything that I love in racing: fantastic looking cars with the power of V8 engines.
“We had a difficult first weekend but the experience means that we can only improve over the course of the season.”
