Alan Pook has sent out a challenge to his injured Worthing players.
The Rebels joint boss wants skipper Ben Andrews, Andy Alexander and Glen Woodburn to make themselves available for the play-offs by playing away to Corinthian-Casuals tomorrow.
Pook said: “If they are not fit for Saturday I don’t think they will be fit for the play-offs on Tuesday. Two days won’t make a difference after the length of time they have been out so it is make or break for them.
“I want to get back as near as we can to the back four when we had our long unbeaten run.”
Worthing go into the weekend in the final play-off position knowing they need to finish second or third to secure a home fixture in the one-legged semi-final which will almost certainly take place on Tuesday.
The higher placed of the two semi-final winners will then be at home in the final next Saturday.
Pook said: “Obviously we would rather be at home but we have played well away from home this year.
“If I could choose who I could play I would probably go for Cray because they have a big ground, big pitch, we were awful that day and only lost 2-1 and we beat them 4-1 at home.
“But we haven’t lost to Met Police this season and haven’t lost to Fleet either so it is all about us and how we play on the day.
“My young players are mentally stronger now and that will hold them in good stead.”
Scott Kirkwood completes a four-match ban tomorrow while Chris O’Flaherty remains injured and will not feature in the play-offs.
