Eastbourne have been crowned champions two weeks after finishing their league programme.
They won the Kent/Sussex Regional League trophy on Saturday after season-long rivals Worthing failed to win their remaining game by seven clear goals.
Worthing beat Folkestone 5-3 with efforts by Alex Warner (two), Grant Sawyer, Bryan Lock and Cirdec Atkinson.
Eastbourne captain Robbie Redhead said: “Last season was a growing season for the team after losing a lot of players. The youngsters came in and have done really well.
“It is a tribute to them, the coach and manager that it has paid off this year.”
Worthing's David Edmondson said: “Coming second for the second year running is hard to take but we remain positive about giving it a go next season in a restructured league.”
Eastbourne found out they were champions during their Sussex Cup semi-final which Chichester won 5-1.
Jeremy Sumner scored for the hosts but it was not enough to stop a team who play two divisions higher.
Will Blockley (two), Matt Cox and Richard Blakesley helped Chi race into a 4-0 half-time lead, then 16-year-old Luke Emmett scored his first senior goal to wrap up victory in the second half.
Chichester will meet Brighton and Hove in the final at The Saffrons, Eastbourne, on Sunday. The cup finals weekend includes four matches on Saturday and three on Sunday culminating with the senior final.
