Arundel’s hopes of catching leaders Eastbourne United were dealt a severe blow after they lost 2-1 at Ringmer in County League division one last night.
Joe Tubon scored twice inside the opening three minutes to put Ringmer on top before Gary Norgate pulled one back with a penalty in the 67th minute. The result leaves Arundel eight points behind United with a game in hand ahead of their clash at Mill Road tomorrow.
At the bottom, Worthing United let a two-goal lead slip as they lost 3-2 at Whitehawk. Ryan McBride, pictured, grabbed the winner from the penalty spot with two minutes to go.
