Burgess Hill know victory tomorrow against play-off chasers Met Police will guarantee their Ryman League survival with a game to go.
The Hillians are four points clear of Chipstead, who occupy the last relegation place, and face them next weekend in the final game of the division one south campaign.
Defeat for Chipstead at Godalming tomorrow would also prevent the prospect of a nail-biting last Saturday for Hillians but boss Gary Croydon is not looking for favours from elsewhere.
He said: “The good thing is it is in our hands.
“If we can win against Met Police we don’t have to rely on anyone else.”
The Police, however, have plenty to play for as they are in the last play-off spot following a draw with Whyteleafe on Tuesday and could be pipped for the last spot by Sittingbourne.
Leo Day is unavailable for Hillians but Whitehawk have allowed Toby Phillips to play.
Luke Gedling is a major doubt with an ankle injury while Nick Fogden is suspended again after playing for a Sunday side while under a previous ban.
