East Grinstead's Euro dreams are over after a gallant defeat in the quarter-finals in Hamburg.
The Sussex side went down 3-2 against Dutch side HC Bloemendaal, who were one of the pre-tournament favourites.
Grinstead twice led through Danny Hall and Dave De Prez before losing to a goal two minutes from time after being reduced to ten men when Mark Pearn was yellow carded.
It ended an excellent first season in the EuroHockey League when they progressed from the group stages earlier in the season before beating French champions Saint Germain in the last 16 on Friday.
