Lewes handed a debut to teenage forward Geoff Banks-Smith at home to Weymouth.
The 18-year-old, who is on work experience from Brentford, came in on the left side of a five-man midfield as one of three changes from the team that beat Altrincham last Saturday.
Anthony Barness returned from suspension in central defence to replace skipper Danny Cullip, who has now started a two-match ban.
With Lewes only allowed to use two work experience players, caretaker manager Steve Ibbitson left out Josh Jirbandey which meant a recall at right-back for Grant Hall.
There was no goalkeeper on the bench with Ollie Barton, who is dual-signed, needed by Worthing.
