A patched up Horsham slumped to a 3-0 defeat at Ashford Town (Middlesex).
Scott Harris and Byron Harrison hit second half goals to make it six league games without a win for John Maggs' side.
Horsham's injury problems were so bad that Steve Davies, a part time striker dual signed from Wick, lined up in central midfield. Although he did play his part in an entertaining first half in which the chances flowed at both ends.
Ricky Wellard orchestrated the home side's efforts in the opening stages, he forced Rob Tolfrrey into an early save and dragged a shot wide. While for Horsham, Claude Seanla saw a stinging shot turned behind by Craig Ross, and Reggie Savage blazed over the bar when Ross spilled a high Alex Haddow cross.
Towards the end of the period, Harrison thought he had given his side the lead, only to see his close range effort ruled out for offside.
Ashford dominated the second half, Scott Harris put the Tangerines ahead when his shot defelected in off Ian Payne, Harrison added a second when he cut inside onto his right foot and beat Tolfrey. Insult was added to injury in the dying moments when Anthony Acheampong brought Harrison down in the box, and the Ashford front man stepped up to convert the penalty.
