Three Sussex women’s teams have reached national finals.
Chichester, Lewes and East Grinstead will all be going for silverware at Old Loughtonians on April 25.
A 5-2 home win over North Notts sent Chi through in the semis of the Women’s Trophy. Skipper Claire Greenway got two with Vicky Kimber, Lou Clark and Verena Sambel also on target Meanwhile Lewes will meet East Grinstead in an all-Sussex final of the Women’s Vase and they expect it to be a cracker.
Lewes captain Kerry Fitzpatrick, whose side won 3-0 at Camberley and Farnborough, said: “We beat them in the league so they will be out for blood.”
Lewes scored all their goals in the first 15 minutes.
Suzy Clapp won and converted a penalty, Tiffany Musgrave finished a pass by Fitzpatrick and Sara Riley fired the third.
East Grinstead also did the damage early.
Ella Kenny deflected home an initial shot from captain Vicky Griffiths just five minutes into their 1-0 win at Oswestry.
