Janis Ivanovskis kept his cool at the free throw line to clinch Worthing Thunder's tenth win of the BBL season.
Ivanovskis, a 45% free throw shooter this season, made two out of two in the last seven seconds to clinch a 91-90 comeback win at home to London Capital.
Colby Bargeman then stole the ball back to deny Capital the chance of a buzzer-beating game winner.
The rock bottom visitors led 85-78 going into the last three minutes.
Thunder then went on an 11-3 run, including two three-pointers from Ryan Patton.
Ivanovskis and Patton finished with 27 points apiece.
Thirty-point Marcus Knight hit two free throws with eight seconds remaining to give Capital their last lead at 90-89.
