Paul Kennett will still be missing for Worthing when they visit struggling Whitstable tomorrow.
The experienced midfielder has not featured in the last three games due to a hamstring injury but hopes to return for next Saturday’s game with Corinthian Casuals.
Defender Matt Simpson is still up to a fortnight away from a return to fitness but Ben Andrews has completed a ban and plays.
Worthing’s league match at Sittingbourne on Monday has been postponed and they will instead host Eastbourne Borough in the Sussex Senior Cup on Tuesday.
Joint boss Danny Bloor said: “It will be a good game because they will be expected to beat us but we took Crawley to extra time in the same competition last year. It is a win-win game for us.
“But we have a difficult trip to Whitstable first. They are fighting for their lives so it will be tough.”
Lloyd Cotton makes a welcome return for Burgess Hill as they look to put back-to-back defeats behind them.
The 23-year-old defender or midfielder has been out for a month with a fractured foot but should feature at home to Fleet Town tomorrow.
Right-back Matt Piper is banned while fellow full-back Justin Gregory is out injured. Player-boss Jamie Howell and player-coach Stuart Tuck are also out.
Howell, who is recovering from a pelvic injury, said: “We have had a couple of bad defeats but we have a good enough squad. It is not gelling at the moment but that will come. We must get back on track this weekend.”
Eastbourne Town are sweating on the fitness of Simon Catt ahead of the trip to Walton Casuals.
Catt is doubtful with a foot injury sustained in last Saturday’s defeat to Leatherhead.
Youngster James Norwood is definitely missing because he is required by St Bede’s school while Kingsley Parsons has returned to Hastings.
Town’s two long-term injury victims are nearing fitness. Greg Manton (ankle) and Ben Putland (knee) are back in training and could return in a fortnight.
CROWBOROUGH have high hopes for new signing Luke Piscana.
The striker made his debut in Tuesday’s 2-1 defeat at Chipstead after joining from Tonbridge Angels.
Joint manager Steve Johnson said: “He is just what we have been looking for. He is quick, lively and clever.
“He was in and out of their side but he will do well for us.”
Fellow forward Wayne Clarke, who has recovered from a groin injury, is suspended for tomorrow’s game at Met Police when defender Steve Hunt is also likely to be unavailable.
