Horsham's play-off hopes were dealt a blow as they went down 3-0 in a bad tempered match at Ashford Town (Middlesex).
The Hornets, fresh from an excellent win at second-placed AFC Wimbledon on Saturday, started brightly with Stuart Myall and Lee Farrell both going close in the early stages.
The visitors looked in control until a mad couple of minutes just before half-time saw them fall 2-0 behind.
Paul Johnson flicked home from close range in the 41st minute and barely 60 seconds later Warren Harris doubled Ashford's lead, converting at the second attempt after Alan Mansfield had blocked his initial effort.
Horsham had coach Rob Frankland dismissed from the dugout before Ricky Wellard put the game beyond Horsham's reach midway through the second half.
The home side ended the match with ten men after Gavin Bamford received his marching orders.
