Crawley boss Steve Evans says he does not care about tomorrow's (Tuesday) Sussex Senior Cup semi-final and will field an understrength team.

Evans will not risk his key players for the clash against Eastbourne Borough even though Reds have nothing to play for this season.

Evans has been left with a threadbare squad of 13 players after Jamie Stevens, Glenn Wilson and Mustapha Carayol picked up injuries.

Youngsters Nick Carter and Mithun Nayee, who were on the bench for Saturday's Blue Square premier defeat at Grays, are expected to be given a rare first-team chance.

Assistant boss Paul Raynor could also feature, having come out of retirement in earlier rounds.

Evans said: "I have no intentions towards it whatsoever. Someone will put me in bother for that but we will make changes and give the younger lads a run and see how it goes.

"Don't get me wrong - I say we have no interest but when we turn up we will be fighting and scrapping to win the game because that is the nature of football.

"People need to put it in perspective. We have seven league games left and have 14 players in our first-team squad so it is not a game when we can afford to lose two or three players."

Evans is hoping Stevens will make a quick recovery after suffering a groin strain in the 2-1 defeat to Grays.

He said: "I've had him since he was a kid and he is normally a quick healer. We have just come through four games in seven days and it has been tough for the lads and people like Stevens who has played every minute of every one of them."

Meanwhile, Horsham have agreed a groundshare and expect the deal to go through in the next few days.

The Hornets are not saying who their new landlords are but they have to leave Queen Street following 104 years at the end of the season after selling it to housing developers.

A club spokesman said: "I can tell you that a draft agreement has been reached for a ground- share. Copies of the agreement are with our lawyers and the Ryman League for their approval. We believe it will all be signed in days rather than weeks."

Horsham have been linked with several clubs including neighbours Crawley, Horsham YMCA, Bognor and Worthing about a possible groundshare.
