Dorking Wanderers got their promotion hopes back on track with a 4-1 demolition of County League division three leaders Loxwood.
Leroy Hyett, Lee Smith, Kevin Burgess and new signing Rob Griffiths got the goals to inflict on a second defeat of the season on Loxwood, who replied through Matt Hoyte.
This followed a 3-2 win for Dorking at Bosham on Saturday which in turn ended a run of four successive defeats. Mick Daniels (two) and Hyett got the goals. Dorking are now five points behind second-placed Haywards Heath with a game in hand.
Heath had to settle for a 0-0 draw at home to Forest on Monday.
Little Common remain an outside bet for promotion although their Bank Holiday derby with Bexhill United was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
This followed a 1-1 draw for Little Common at Rottingdean Village on Saturday when Jared Lusted struck to cancel out Rob O'Toole's early opener.
Rottingdean made it four points from the weekend with a 3-0 win on Monday which ended Newhaven's outside hopes of going up. Necat Karasahin (two) and Toby Lancaster got the goals.
In other games on Saturday, Hurstpierpoint temporarily moved off the bottom with a 3-1 defeat of Forest thanks to goals from Sam Swain, Miller and Stuart Ritchie (penalty). Nick Duggan replied for the visitors.
Clive Piller got both goals as Ifield Edwards won 2-0 away to Uckfield Town.
Dave Woolgar scored as Saltdean United held Loxwood to a 1-1 draw.
