Horsham are poised to give winger Dwain Clarke his debut at Boreham Wood tomorrow.

Clarke, 29, signed from play-off rivals Staines last Saturday. He was formerly at Aldershot Canvey Island, Farnborough, Lewes and Maidenhead.

Horsham player-coach Ian Payne said: "Dwain is fast and tricky and can play left or right wing or up front.

"He's always been effective when he's played against us. We hope he can be just as effective for us. We're confident he will do well as he has experience at our level."

Gary Charman (groin) and Nigel Brake (knee) are expected to be fit. Simon Austin returns from suspension.

Payne hopes Hornets can bounce back from a 4-0 defeat at Staines on Tuesday as his side prepare for a crucial Easter, with Tonbridge Angels due to visit Queen Street on Monday.

He said: "We need to win most of our final eight games to make the play-offs."

Horsham's bid to groundshare from next season at Crawley Town remains unresolved.

The Ryman League discussed the situation at a board meeting yesterday and confirmed that no conclusion had been reached but they declined to make an announcement because of the "delicacy of the situation".

Chairman Alan Turvey said: "It is a matter between the league and the club but there has been no conclusion."
