Boss John Suter insists Horsham YMCA will not give up fighting until the last ball is kicked this season.
YM looked doomed to relegation after last Saturday's defeat to fellow strugglers fellow strugglers Corinthian Casuals left them nine points adrift of safety with eight games to go.
They travel to Whyteleafe tomorrow knowing another defeat would leave them requiring a minor miracle to avoid dropping out of the Ryman League after two years.
Suter said: "A lot of people are saying our task is impossible now and looking at the table you can understand why but we won't give up. The simple fact is we have got to win four more games than the teams above us and that is going to be a massive ask.
"We've just got to keep trying to win games until it is mathematically impossible to stay up and even then I would want us to keep fighting for pride."
Dean Carden begins a two-game suspension tomorrow and Matt Simpson is still unavailable but Martin Flack is fit enough to return to the squad. Danny Baigent, who was on the bench last Saturday after joining on loan from Grays Athletic, is poised to make his debut.
