AMERICAN Express clinched the premier division title following a goalless draw against Brighton Electricity.

The point was enough to crack open the champagne as closest rivals Montpelier Villa slipped up 4-2 against Hanover. Luke Heath (3) and Philip Hussey did the damage for Hanover, while James Rae and Ed Daynes replied.

Montpelier Villa II were relegated from division one after losing 3-2 against promotion-chasing Coversure Athletic. Simon Godden, Arron Ide and Adam Newman got the winning strikes and Marco Paul and Erwan Le Grand netted the consolation goals.

Montpelier View edged closer to safety after strikes from Daniel Lawson and Ian Brocken secured a 2-1 win over Midway (1948).

Leaders AFC Stadium dropped points after strikes from Godfrey Muneri (2) and Wes Mezzone earned Ampito a 3-3 draw.
