Manager Tony Dolby praised two-goal hero Ade Olorunda's contribution after Hastings United gave their battle to beat relegation a boost with a 2-1 victory over Boreham Wood.

Olorunda fired home his first from the edge of the area on 21 minutes then made it 2-0 on 78 minutes with a Cruyff-turn and shot into the far corner after a neat build-up.

Danny Barber's 88th-minute free-kick was nothing more than an underserved consolation.

Dolby, whose side remain in the bottom two despite the win, said: "They were a couple of lovely bits of quality from Ade.

"He was ill last week, struggled through on Tuesday for us against East Thurrock and he was still struggling again but managed to score off the back of a great team performance.

"Next week becomes the next must win' game but if we had lost I would not like to think about what the table would have looked like. This win was massive."

Horsham boss John Maggs has admitted uncertainty over the club's future has got to some of his players.

Hornets' slid out of the play-off positions as they suffered a 4-0 reverse at Harrow Borough. They have taken just two points out of a possible 15 in their last five games.

Maggs feels the off-field problems surrounding the collapse of a proposed groundshare with Crawley has unsettled his players.

He said: "The groundshare issued contributed to the defeat. Fifty per cent of my players worked hard but we were let down by the other 50 per cent because their minds were on what happened with Crawley and other concerns.

"It is not ideal and the supporters are also not happy but myself and the players have to focus on trying to get promotion. We've worked hard to get where we have and we've got to battle on."

Hornets have not won at Borough's Earlsmead in 40 years and goals from Danny Brown, Jonathan Constant, Victor Asombang and Lee Hall ensured it stayed that way.
