Loan signing Jean-Michel Sigere scored a wonder-goal on his debut as Horsham boss John Maggs celebrated a 5-1 victory over his former No. 2 Tommy Warrilow's Tonbridge Angels.
Lewis Taylor put Hornets ahead from the penalty spot after Angels had a player sent off for deliberate handball in the first half but Fraser Logan levelled on 58 minutes for the depleted hosts before Gary Charman (61 and 65 minutes), Simon Austin (88) and Sigere (90) rammed home their numerical advantage.
Sigere, on loan from Lewes to get match fitness, scored from almost the halfway line to cap the win.
Maggs said: "It was a top quality and polished display. We've had a wake-up call since our FA Cup exploits and there were signs we were improving against Maidstone at the weekend.
"Hopefully this can now kick-start us again and we can start winning our games in hand."
Maggs added: "I spoke to Tommy before the game and shook his hand afterwards but he was obviously disappointed. Someone was always going to be feeling like that afterwards and, without being spiteful, I'm glad it wasn't me."
Matt Geard has signed for the Hornets from Burgess Hill.
