Alan Pook is back as manager of Worthing.
Pook has returned to work alongside Danny Bloor, who has been retained as joint manager.
The return to the Pook-Bloor partnership comes a year after the former officially stepped down as manager due to personal reasons and follows the Rebels' relegation from Ryman premier.
Pook, who remained at the club as director of football, had not been running the side since December 2005 following the death of his friend and business partner Steve Danahar but he is delighted to be back in the hot seat.
He said: "I am really excited about the prospect of getting back involved and very ambitious to do well.
"I think Danny Bloor has excellent qualities and he is totally committed to the club. One of the first things I wanted to do was to take Danny with me as joint manager as we were when we won promotion to Ryman premier.
"When I stopped being involved we were second in the table so together we were very successful.
"Danny does a lot of good things. With the strengths I bring to the table I will be very disappointed if we don't get promoted at the first time of asking.
"As a gambling man, I will say we will definitely make the play-offs and I will be disappointed if we don't get automatic promotion."
Pook has vowed to build a team around the club's exciting group of youngsters and has already spoken to three potential signings who are all under 20.
He has resigned his position as director of football, handing over the role to Mark Stevens.
A number of other exciting changes will be announced in the coming weeks, including the launch of a reserve team next season.
Chairman Dave Agnew announced the changes following a board meeting last night.
He said: "I am very pleased with the new management team. I was surprised that Alan threw his hat in the ring for it. That happened last Monday but it had to be discussed. I am more than happy."
