Nicki Pedersen will use a winning formula from last year as he aims to complete a fabulous Grand Prix hat-trick.
The Eastbourne Eagles captain has been looking good in practice for the European GP in Wroclaw, Poland.
He has opted to go with a mechanical set-up he used successfully at last year's season-ending Polish GP at Bydgoszcz as he tackles slick conditions and a monster 387-metre track.
That's 112 metres longer than Arlington.
Pedersen's team manager Helge Frimodt Pedersen said: "Nicki has been looking really good, especially with that yellow body colour as GP series leader.
"We were looking to go with the set-up from Bygdoszcz last year and it worked very well.
"He was pretty satisfied with practice. He went out five times, a minute-and-a-half each, so he had a good practice."
Pedersen's win in the Polish GP last year cemented his place as third in the world in 2006. He then dominated the first event of this season by winning all seven races at Lonigo in Italy.
Conditions are likely to be very different in Wroclaw, where racing starts at 6pm BST tomorrow (Saturday).
Helge Frimodt Pedersen added: "It's a very slick track which suits Nicki. There are no ruts or holes or anything in it.
"Obviously he has had those stomach cramps a couple of times in the last ten days but nothing in the last five days.
"He went for blood tests in Denmark last week and we are still waiting for the results but it could just be something that you have one week and then is over with."
Pedersen leads Eagles in Elite League action at Wolves on Monday, when Edward Kennett is likely to guest for injured Dean Barker.
