Hastings United boss Nigel Kane has urged his players to prove they are winners tomorrow in their Ryman division one play-off final.
Underdogs United won 2-0 at Dover on Tuesday night in their semi-final despite being reduced to ten men for an hour following the dismissal of striker Sam Adams. But Kane is demanding another display from his heroes' at Tooting and Mitcham with the finish line in sight.
He said: "We are now within touching distance of promotion but we must make sure we go out there and do it all again or everything we did on Tuesday would have been for nothing.
"Against Dover we proved we are a team of winners especially after playing the game with ten men for an hour.
"Now we must go out and prove we are a team of winners one more time."
United will be underdogs again at Imperial Fields. Tooting finished as runners-up to champions Maidstone after an unbeaten 31-match run but the Hastings boss sees no reason to fear them.
He said: "We were the last team to beat Tooting on January 1 and they have played a lot of games recently.
"They have played 13 games in five weeks since March 31 and they are only human. Usually when teams play that amount of games in a short period something eventually has to give."
