Sussex are facing an early season crisis of confidence after crashing to back-to-back Championship defeats.
They lost 18 wickets in two sessions at Canterbury today and were hammered by an innings and 106 runs by Kent.
Replying to Kent's 368, they were dismissed for 102 in their first innings this morning with former Sussex bowler Yasir Arafat and Ryan McLaren both taking four wickets. Chris Adams top-scored with 42.
Following on, they were bowled out for 160 despite 35 from Matt Prior and Robin Martin-Jenkins' unbeaten 24. Simon Cook took a career-best 6-35.
