Caretaker boss Dave Woozley has urged Crawley's owners to secure the futures of the management and players as soon as possible now Conference safety is assured.
Reds finished two points above the drop zone after a goalless home draw against Kidderminster in the last game of the season.
The entire squad, apart from Tony Scully, are now free agents, while Woozley and fellow joint caretaker managers Ben Judge and John Yems are theoretically no longer in charge as they were only handed the reigns until the end of the campaign.
Crawley cannot offer new contracts until the club's debt, known as the CVA, is paid off.
The deadline for payment to creditors was widely believed to be today but general manager Barry Munn claimed after Saturday's game that it was May 12.
Woozley said: "I don't know what is happening but we hope we are going to sit down and talk about it soon.
"The club have been waiting until we are safe to offer contracts because realistically if we had gone down, they would not have been able to offer the same deals.
"We really would have liked to have been safe a few weeks ago because then we could have been in a better situation in terms of getting the lads contracts when we were in every day.
"It would be nice to reward the lads with deals but at the moment we don't know what is happening with the management, let alone the players."
Woozley says he and the rest of the squad would jump at the chance of signing new deals.
But he has warned that after their heroics this season, many Reds will become targets for other clubs.
He said: "I would hope that they (the club) want to keep the squad together because it is very difficult to build team spirit.
"I 100 per cent want to stay. I am getting married in the summer and this is a local club for me so I would love to commit myself.
"I think the rest of the players feel the same. You might have one or two who haven't played as much as they wanted and have ambitions to go somewhere else.
"Money will also come into it as well and I would be very surprised if a few of the lads did not get a phone call from other clubs considering the position they are in, in terms of being on non-contract."
