Russel Bromage and Ian Chapman are taking the heat off Whitehawk as they close in on the County League title.
Hawks went seven points clear after a 3-0 win at East Preston.
They had to wait until the second half for their goals but assistant boss Bromage said: "There's no pressure.
"You can put yourselves under pressure but we're just asking our lads to play like they have been playing all season.
"We did the hard work in the first half when it was an even game. We knew we would have chances."
Hawks secured the points with a rocket from Gareth Green (pictured) and a neat finish from Craig Bunch. Tom Rand impressed in goal for EP.
County League, division one: East Preston 0, Whitehawk 3 (og 54, Green 69, Bunch 89); Rye 0, Sidley 2 (Miles 52, Day 75).
