Nicki Pedersen today told Eastbourne Eagles to forget their past troubles at the toughest away track in the Elite League.
Eagles go to Peterborough Panthers' 336-metre East of England Showground circuit tomorrow night (Thursday, 7.30pm) knowing a single-figure defeat would be seen as a morale victory.
But Pedersen, fresh from a monster 21-point full maximum in Poland on Monday, is desperate for them to forget thrashings by 26 and 29 points there last year.
The Danish star said: "It will be tough but I'm getting towards my best and hopefully I can gee up the boys.
"I hope we can be positive. The boys don't really like the Peterborough track but I will talk them through my set-ups and hopefully we can keep it close."
Asked if riding Peterborough had become a psychological barrier, Pedersen said: "It can be for some riders. Not for me. It's a new day. lf you had a bad meeting there last time, forget about it."
Stefan Andersson returns after missing three fixtures through injury and his big-track experience could be key.
David Norris proved his recovery from a heavy cold by scoring 8 (5) as guest for Belle Vue at Wolves on Monday.
Eagles boss Trevor Geer said: "Peterborough is always tough for us. If we can keep within ten points I would be happy."
Meanwhile, Wolverhampton will be without dangerman Freddie Lindgren when they visit Eagles on Saturday. The Swede, who scored paid 14 from five rides at Arlington last August, has two broken fingers.
Peterborough: Andersen, Dryml, Iversen, King, Bjerre, Swiderski, Hall.
Eagles: Pedersen, Andersson, Norris, Barker, Watt (r/r), Woodward, Bridger.
