Caretaker boss Ben Judge believes Crawley can secure Conference survival over the Easter weekend.

Reds travel to fellow relegation battlers Stafford Rangers tomorrow four points above the drop-zone.

They then face play-off chasing Exeter City at home on Bank Holiday Monday.

Judge reckons a win and a draw from those games will be enough to ensure Reds' future in non-league's top flight.

He said: "Four points from the two games will more or less see us out of it. Hopefully we can get a win at Stafford and then we will only need to get a point on Monday.

"It makes these two games very big for us but all the games have been pressurised so we are used to it."

Judge is back in contention for selection tomorrow after missing eights weeks with a groin injury.

The defender admits he cannot wait to return to action but insists he will not pick himself if Reds keep winning.

He said: "It has been frustrating watching from the bench so I'm really pleased to be back. I will definitely not be starting but it is good just to be involved in the squad.

"But I will stay on the bench if the team carries on winning. There is no way we will change a winning back four so, although I want to play, I am also hoping I won't be needed.

"It normally takes me a few games in pre-season to get back into the swing of things so it may be a bit of a risk coming straight in at a crucial time anyway."

Winger Tony Scully is suspended for the trip to Staffordshire after being sent off for two bookable offences as Reds ended a run of five games without a win with a 3-0 victory over Stevenage last week.

Steve Evans is set to come in to take his place after recovering from a knee injury and Judge believes he will make a big difference.

He said: "I remember playing at Stafford in the Dr Martens days and it is always a tough place to go. The pitch is meant to be very hard and bobbly so there won't be much football being played.

"It won't be a game for skillful players like Tony so maybe it is a blessing in disguise that he can't play and we have Evo back.

"We will definitely need players like him who can put a tackle in because it is going to be a battle."

Midfielder Scott Marshall, who has made 14 league appearances this year, has agreed to play for free for the rest of the season after being told he can leave due to financial reasons.

Squad players Jack MacLeod and Jamie England have signed dual forms with Ryman League clubs Carshalton and Chelmsford respectively but will continue to train with Reds.

Judge said: "They have told us they are happy to carry on coming in every day for no money. This shows what a spirit we have in the camp at the moment and these boys are desperate to see us safe."
