Worthing Raiders lost 27-22 to Blackheath in their first home National One game of the season today.
Geoff Griffiths got the all-important last try seal the victory for Blackheath with four minutes to go.
It was cruel on Raiders, who had enough possession and chances to take victory but came up just short.
Raiders' Joe Govett scored two tries and James Chisholm the other while Govett also added a penalty and two conversions.
Blackheath's tries came from Jack Walsh, Griffiths (two) and Liam Gibson.
David Marshall added two conversions and a penalty.
