Lewes dropped back into the relegation zone in Blue Square south with a 3-1 defeat at Thurrock.
All the goals came in the second half with the hosts breaking the deadlock on 53 minutes through Matt Bodkin.
Jack Walder levelled three minutes later but Lewes tired in the second period with Leon McKenzie putting Thurrock back in front on the hour-mark and adding a third late on.
The Rooks were without Williams Peauroux due to a toe injury but Scott Chamberlain returned.
