LEWES boss Steve Ibbitson was a frustrated man after the Rooks were denied their first win of the season.
For the second Saturday running, Lewes led until the closing stages but a 90th-minute strike meant they had to settle for a 1-1 draw away to St Albans.
The Rooks have now drawn four of their five games but Ibbitson knows they should have more points in the bag.
He said: “It is another game where we have got a point away from home and come away feeling like we have lost.
“We didn’t play particularly well but we had the only clearcut chance in the first half when Dan Beck lifted the ball over the keeper and the wrong side of the post.
“In the second half we had five one-on-ones with their keeper and I can’t remember any clearcut chances for them.”
Sam Crabb fired Lewes ahead on 67 minutes, scoring at the second attempt after good work down the right from David Wheeler.
Substitute Mark Peters headed the equaliser two minutes into stoppage time but there was still time for young Lewes substitute Louis Pople to waste a chance to snatch victory.
Lewes: Banks; Barness, Pearson, Breach, Fisk; Wheeler, Keehan, Walder, Peauroux (sub Kirkwood); Beck, Crabb (sub Pople). Subs not used: Timms, Foreman, Royce.
