Lewes boss Steve Ibbitson insists there is no need to panic after a thumping midweek defeat.
The Rooks head to Newport County tomorrow on the back of a 3-0 loss away to Braintree.
Ibbitson spoke at length on the pitch with his players after the game but said the talks were good natured about how they can improve on that performance.
He said: “We had a discussion on the pitch. We didn’t play particularly well but it is no time to start panicking.
“There were one or two areas where we weren’t as organised as we could be. We were on the pitch for a long time but it wasn’t us having a go.”
Ibbitson, whose side were impressive in an opening day draw with Weymouth, often had a debriefing on the pitch after games last season.
He added: “I am a great believer that you have to look back on games, as a team and as individuals. It is the only way we have any chance of improving.”
Former Albion winger Dan Royce missed Tuesday’s game through illness but is back in the squad for tomorrow’s trip.
Scott Kirkwood did not feature in the 16 at Braintree due to a lack of match sharpness, after missing some of pre-season due to a family holiday, but Ibbitson insists he is a key part of the club’s plans moving forward.
