David Wheeler could feature for Lewes as they wave goodbye to Blue Square premier at home to York on Sunday.
The winger plays for English Schools under-18s away to Republic of Ireland tonight in a Centenary Shield decider which is being screened live on Sky Sports.
Wheeler is a contender for the Lewes player-of-the-season award which will be announced on Sunday and caretaker boss Steve Ibbitson hopes the 18-year-old can play some part in the game.
Ibbitson said: “David travels back on Saturday and I will talk to him then but I hope he will be available.
“We would like David for the last game, particularly as he gives us a lot of pace which we don’t get from elsewhere, and as a local boy I think the fans would like to see him play.”
Anthony Barness, Joe Keehan, Sam Fisk and Tim Rivers should all feature despite carrying knocks but Chris Breach is ruled out with an ankle injury and Stefan Cox is highly doubtful with a knee problem which forced him off after half an hour against Kettering on Tuesday.
York can secure their survival with a point away to Weymouth tonight but would be sweating on other results should they lose both their remaining games.
Lewes: Banks, Barness, Cullip, Jirbandey, Fisk, Wilkinson, Storrie, Standing, Keehan, Rooney, Cox, Wheeler, Rivers, Foreman, Sutton, Bell, Osborn, Timms, Hall.
York: Ingham, Purkiss, McGurk, Parslow, Pejic, Mackin, A.Smith, C.Smith, S.Smith, Boyes, McBreen, Brodie, Sodje, Brown, Robinson, Greaves, Torpey.
