Steve King is back at Whitehawk as manager - on a three-year deal.
King takes over with the side at the foot of Vanarama National League south and yet to win.
He brought league and FA Cup excitement to East Brighton Park in his first stint before parting company 19 months ago.
King's brief is to use his contacts to keep Hawks in the division this season while also helping develop their promising clutch of young players.
A club statement released in the last few minutes stated that King was judged as "the best placed to recruit the players necessary to keep the Hawks in the league."
It added: "The length of contract demonstrates the commitment that both the club and Steve have for future growth and stability moving forward."
