Hastings United boss John Maggs has made a double swoop ahead of today’s visit of Walton and Hersham.
Maggs signed midfielder Ronnie Dolan from Hythe Town last night and has also clinched the signature of Bruno Pacheco.
Dolan won the manager’s player-of-the-year award for the last two seasons at Hythe and has had a trial with Welling United.
Left-back Pacheco was with Whitehawk last season and also had a trial with Southend.
Maggs said: “Ronnie can play anywhere across the middle. He was their player of the season and Hereford once wanted to sign him. He’s a decent player.”
Maggs has put in four seven-day approaches this week, including one for Lewes defender or midfielder Tom Vickers who was at Hastings last season.
Jono Richardson has joined Rye while Akwasi Fobi-Edusei has left the club as Maggs juggles his budget. Former Ashford Town (Kent) keeper Justin Lee, 28, has signed as back-up to Josh Pelling while Rye want Ryan Burbridge.
Maggs is monitoring the situation following striker Ade Olorunda’s release from Lewes.
