Dwayne Smith took a hat-trick and four wickets in an over as Sussex raced towards another Pro40 League victory against Nottinghamshire Outlaws at Hove tonight.
The Barbados-born all-rounder had already removed Adam Voges for a single when he struck gold in the 15th over.
Alex Hales was superbly caught down the leg side by Andy Hodd off the first ball of the over.
Bilal Shafayat survived three deliveries before he was caught at short fine leg. Kevin O'Brien walked in front of a straight one next ball and was lbw and Smith got his hat-trick in style by bowling Jake Ball as Notts slumped from 67-1 to 73-7 in reply to Sussex's 254.
