England star Matt Prior has handed Sussex a massive boost for the new season.
Prior will be available for the first four games of the campaign, comprising two Friends Provident Trophy clashes and two LV County Championship matches.
Skipper Mike Yardy said: “It’s good to have Matt back for the start of the competitive season. It’s also pleasing Matt has secured his place in the Test team and this is testament to his hard work and dedication over the winter.
“We see this as two bits of good news and fully support Matt whilst he is away on England duty.”
Sussex host Kent at Hove in two separate pre-season 50-over clashes today and tomorrow (11am).
