Persistent rain at Old Trafford washed away Sussex's hopes of pushing for victory on the final day of their County Championship clash with Lancashire.
With the forecast not looking promising Sussex declared first thing in the morning with a lead of 323.
They managed just 8.4 overs before the wet weather arrived and despite a number of attempts to restart play no further action was possible.
The match was eventually abandoned as a draw after tea with Lancashire on 19-0 in their second innings.
Sussex collected ten points from the match - compared to Lancashire's eight - which leaves them second in division one, a point behind Warwickshire.
