Sussex have confirmed that this season’s Horsham Festival will go ahead as planned.
There had been some doubt as to whether or not the festival would take place this season due to a shortfall in finances, with the possibility of matches being moved to headquarters at Hove.
However, a concerted effort by Sussex, in conjunction with a small number of sponsors and an anonymous benefactor, has helped esnure the festival will go ahead at the Cricketfield Road Ground, where county cricket has been held regularly since 1908.
Sussex will host an LV County Championship division one clash at Cricketfield Road against Warwickshire, starting on Monday July 21, followed by a 50-over clash with Nottinghamshire on Sunday July 27.
