Sussex have confirmed that Joe Gatting and Andrew Miller will not be offered new contracts for next season.
The pair were expected to be released after enduring frustrating summers at Hove where their appearances were limited.
Miller, 26, played just five matches - one Championship, one t20 and three YB40 - after arriving on a one-year deal following his release by Warwickshire last winter.
Gatting has spent five years at Hove after being taken on when he quit football following his release by Brighton and Hove Albion.
The 25-year-old from Brighton played 130 games for Sussex across all three formats and was generally considered one of the most talented players on the squad.
However, he was unable to fulfill his potential and experienced a miserable season in 2013, scoring just 168 runs in 13 matches across all formats.
Sussex coach Mark Robinson said: "It is always a sad time when we release any player but both are still young and we hope a change of environment will help them fulfil their potential.
“Andy and Joe have been model professionals and we would like to thank them both for their hard work and commitment they have shown during their time here at the club. We wish them both all the best for the future."
