Sussex all-rounder Chris Jordan has been picked to make his one-day debut for England today in the NatWest decider against Australia at the Ageas Bowl.
He replaces Steven Finn, who has a side strain, while Sussex's Luke Wright comes in for Jonathan Trott who felt a twinge in his back at the last minute.
England captain Eoin Morgan said: "The conditions look really good and I'd have liked a bat but that's the way it goes. Steve Finn misses out with side strain so Chris Jordan comes in for his debut. Jonathan Trott has gone down with a back spasm so Luke Wright is in. We've got huge confidence from Cardiff. A lot of the young guys took some responsibility in that game and we're looking to go well again."
Jordan wasted no timer making an impact. A hip-high bouncer cramped up the left-handed Phil Hughes, who top-edged straight into the hands of Michael Carberry at midwicket.
The series is tied at 1-1.
England: Carberry, Pietersen, Wright, Morgan (capt), Bopara, Buttler (wk), Stokes, Root, Tredwell, Rankin, Jordan.
Australia: Finch, Hughes, Watson, Clarke (capt), Bailey, Voges, Wade (wk), Faulkner, Johnson, Ahmed, McKay.
