Jamie Proctor has got the nod over Emile Sinclair for Crawley's clash with Shrewsbury Town today.
Proctor replaces the suspended Gary Alexander up front against his former club with Sinclair having to wait for his full Reds debut.
It will be the third game Sinclair has been on the bench following his £100,000 move from Peterborough United.
Proctor started the first four games of the season - scoring in the opening 3-2 win over Coventry - but has been among the substitutes for the last three matches.
The enforced change up front is the only alteration to the team which beat Gillingham 3-2 last weekend.
That means midfielder Mike Jones is only on the bench after returning from a one-game ban while defender Joe Walsh is also among the substitutes having missed the Gillingham game due to international duty with Wales Under-21s.
Crawley (4-4-1-1): P Jones; Hurst, McFadzean, Connolly, Sadler; Adams, Bulman, Simpson, Drury; Clarke; Proctor. Subs: Maddison, Essam, Walsh, Torres, M Jones, Rooney, Sinclair.
Shrewsbury (4-4-2): Weale; Woods, Jones, Goldson, Jacobson; Parry, Wildig, Summerfield, Taylor; Bradshaw, Main. Subs: Winfield, McAllister, McQuade, Reach, Burke, Anyon, Smith.
